UUPLAN Spokespersons are regionally and nationally recognized public speakers about important issues that intersect between Unitarian Universalist values and legislative initiatives in the Pennsylvania General Assembly.

The 2011-2012 Spokespersons:

  • Northwest Spokesperon: John Stewart (Meadville)
  • Southwest Spokesperson: Rev. Dave McFarin
  • Central Spokesperson: Rev. Sandra Fees
  • Capital Spokesperson: Rev. Tricia Hart
  • Capital Spokesperson: Rev. Peter Newport
  • Northeast Spokesperson: Rev Darcey Laine
  • Southeast Spokesperson: Rev. Alison Hyden
  • Southeast Spokesperson: Rev. Rob Keithan
  • Southeast Spokesperson: Rev. Peter Friedrichs

 

In the past, UUPLAN Spokespersons have publicly addressed issues of marriage equality; non-discrimination in the workplace and in housing; immigration reform; campaign finance reform; health care; and environmental sustainability.

Spokespersons are empowered to address these kinds of issues by speaking at rallies, preparing for video/tv interviews, posting blog articles, submitting letters to the editor and op-ed pieces, and/or participating in our UU Talk Radio Show
