At its March meeting the UUPLAN Board re-organized by electing Virginia Kirk and Rev. Sandra Fees as Co-Chairs. Their election followed the resignation of Rev. Peter Newport as President. Rev. Newport is on sabbatical and requested time to attend to study, travel and other professional responsibilities.
Virginia Kirk is well known to UUPLANners because of her prior role as Interim Outreach Director and later as Assistant Director. She comes to the Board with a thorough…

Oppose: Abortion Exchange Ban Bills
Support: Health Amendment to the Abortion Exchange Ban Bill

There are bills in the House (HB 742, HB 818) and Senate (SB 3) that all prohibit 'private' insurance from covering abortion services in the…

Hi,
I actually thought I was a member for a few years. I visited Harrisburg with Cynthia Jones and Pat DeBrady re LGBT issues once. Brad at UUCR mentioned the UUPLAN today in our Soc. Justice mtg. and I decided to log on.
Thanks for the welcome.

Hi, Virginia,
Thanks...Kent had suggested that I talk with you about my interests in economic justice, too. I will try to reach you around 9:30 tonight then? If that doesn't work let me know - you can reach me at 267-385-5049 or judymorgan711@yahoo.com. Best,
Judy
Hi Virginia,
I got your email about become the consulting outreach coordinator. Congratulations. I am thinking of applying for the position, but when looking at the four issues, it looks like there have been changes since I first signed onto the UUPLAN. I thought I remembered a peace pillar as one of the four issues. Was I mistaken or has there been a change? Are our four issues flexible or are they fixed for a period of time? Your email only listed three issues ( no peace or immigration reform).
I look forward to hearing from you.

Hi, Virginia,
I'm on the Unitarian Society of Germantown (USG) Task Force on Social Justice Re-visioning, and we are preparing for a congregational workshop on March 10 to plan for how to create a more vibrant social justice program. Would it be possible to talk with you next week and explore how UUPLAN plans could most beneficially link with our congregational efforts? Please let me know. I can be reached at judymorgan711@yahoo.com or 267-385-5049. Thanks very much!
