Biography

    NATHAN C. WALKER is an ordained Unitarian Universalist minister and serves the First Unitarian Church of Philadelphia.      

    He is the co-editor of the book, "Whose God Rules?" (Palgrave Macmillan 2011) with foreword by Tony Blair and contributions by Alan Dershowitz, Martha Nussbaum, William Schultz, and other dignitaries. More at www.WhoseGodRules.com.

    Reverend Nate is currently an advanced doctoral student in Law, Education and Religion at Columbia University where he received his Master of Education and Master of Arts degrees. He also graduated from Union Theological Seminary with a Master of Divinity degree and from Emerson College with a Bachelor of Fine Arts.      

     He is a mindfulness practitioner in the Zen Buddhist tradition led by Thich Nhat Hahn.

Gas Industry Gets Marcellus Bill They Wanted

          With yesterday's passage of House Bill 1950, the legislative takeover of Pennsylvania by the gas industry is now complete. Thanks who all of you who made an effort to help defeat the bill. In spite of our valiant attempts, industry lobbyists won out with a final vote of 101-90. Here in Lycoming County, Rep Mirabito said NO to the bill, Garth Everett voted YES.
