UUPLAN President Rev. Kent Matthies announced today that Dennis Brunn has been appointed UUPLAN Director and that Virginia Kirk, current Interim Outreach Coordinator will continue as UUPLAN Assistant Director. The new staff team will immediately strengthen our ability to have a positive impact on social justice issues throughout the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Mr. Brunn and Mrs. Kirk will help us to directly engage a growing number of Unitarian Universalists.

This just in from Hiro Nishikawa, a member of Main Line Unitarian Church and active in the Pennsylvania Immigration & Citizens Coalition. Hi All: UUPLAN has heard from our sister organization PA Cares for All that they are set for a protest at the State Capital on the morning of May 7th to make clear how important the $300 million General Assistance fund is to thousands of needy Pennsylvanians. Without this valuable safety net, many are likely to fall further into poverty and homelessness.
