Your help is urgently needed. UUPLAN has been working with the Coalition to STOP Payday Lending in PA to oppose any legislation which would regulate predatory lending in Pennsylvania. You may have heard the Senate Appropriations Committee voted tonight to pass Gov. Corbett's budget and added $500 million to it. But that didn't include any of the $300 million for cash assistance. Hi All: UUPLAN has heard from our sister organization PA Cares for All that they are set for a protest at the State Capital on the morning of May 7th to make clear how important the $300 million General Assistance fund is to thousands of needy Pennsylvanians.
